Add a Shadow to a Product Photo
A cut-out product on white looks like it is hovering. A shadow grounds it, and grounding is most of what separates a listing photo that looks professional from one that looks pasted.

Drop shadow or floating shadow?
A drop shadow reads as the product sitting on a surface and suits most listings. A floating shadow — soft, diffuse, directly beneath — reads as the product suspended, which suits jewellery and small electronics.
Will it change the product?
It is instructed not to. Compare against the original at full size; anything with a mirrored or chrome surface is where a shadow model is most likely to also alter the reflection.
Does Amazon allow shadows on the main image?
Yes. The main image must be on pure white with the product filling 85% of the frame; a natural shadow is permitted and normal.
